Palm Pre
Hey.
So I charged up my Pre after I got home and since (I got it to roughly 80%), I’ve been satisfied. I sent around 15 text messages, downloaded 2 apps, changed a few settings, used the web for about an hour, setup a twitter account (registered) + set it up with a client, and made a few calls totaling to roughly 15 minutes.
(*These stats aren’t 100% accurate of course!)
That ran me down to the 58% I have right now. It’s been around 5 hours in general, so I’m pretty happy. Around 20% for decent usage and 5 hours? No worries here…
Oh, so why was this fixed? I’d have to say it was the webOS 1.04 update that I applied right after unplugging it from the charger. I was this close to getting a new phone from Sprint, but I guess I will anyways cause the screen has been wobbly and I’ve only made it worse by “checking” it’s wobble.
Bottom line…. the Palm Pre is definitely the best phone out on the market at this point and time. This is simply my opinion, so don’t go all fan-boy on me haha.
Alright, have a good one! I’ll add pictures and a general review tomorrow hopefully!

Palm Pre
Hey.
Just thought I’d let you all know that yesterday, I went to my local sprint store and managed to pick up a Palm Pre. It’s nice indeed, and really the only thing that could be improved… is the battery life. I’ve had it for about 20 hours now and I’m not impressed with the battery life at all. I plugged it out of the charger around 7:15AM and by 1pm, it was around 10%.
Within that time frame, the phone was off for about 2 hours. I exchanged about 15 text messages, used the music player for a few minutes, had email set to grab every 30 minutes or so, and used the web for roughly 30 minutes (the app for open, not being used for most of the time), and took 4-7 pictures…. oh yeah, I didn’t do any of that at the same time (multi-tasking), only one card was open at once.
I was planning on going to the Sprint Store and getting a replacement phone, but that’s not happening today. I’ll wait a day and look over some tips on the web to keep my battery life in place.
Besides that, I absolutely love this phone… definitely better than the iPhone. I was with a friend who had the iPhone and I used it alongside my phone for quite a while, trust me.
But the main part, this post was only made to let you all know that this means I’m going to all start WebOS (Pre) development… so iPhone dev may slow down.
